What a surprise! There was a meeting of ver.di FB 8 in Berlin today, and Manfred called me this morning to tell me. He asked me to show him around ver,di head quarters afterwards. Of course I agreed to meet my friend since 25 years! We had met in 1985 when I went to my first trade union lectures in Springen, and he was one of our teachers then. We spent all afternoon talking and exchanging ideas on new projects (f.e. on Fritz Lamm's 99th birthday celebrations next year). At the station, we met some more collegues from old times. More joy and laughter. I waved them good bye and went on to some Xmas shopping.
Sunday, I'll be going to Stuttgart, myself. Home for Xmas...
